Qualifying Rules
Qualifying is achieved on a class-by-class basis through participation in each class at open horse shows throughout the qualifying period. Each exhibitor and horse combination must qualify in at least one class to participate in NOHSA World Championship Show classes.
Each horse and exhibitor combination will be required to participate in the corresponding class at three separate eligible events within the qualifying period to qualify in that class category.
Eligible Events
An eligible event is any open horse show that is not sanctioned by a nationwide association, not including 4-H. Shows held by the same show management in the same location on consecutive days will count as one event. The number of judges or showbills for a single event will not affect eligibility. For example, a horse show judged by two judges is considered one event, even though it might include two sets of points or have multiple showbills over multiple days.
Qualifying Fee
Once qualified in at least one class, the qualified horse and exhibitor combination is eligible to enter additional World
Championship Show classes by paying the standard entry fee, plus an additional $15 qualifying fee per class. The
qualifying fee is not available to horse/exhibitor combinations that have not qualified in at least one class.
