Awards and Recognition

On Your Way to Greatness

Members of National Open Horse Show Association are recognized for their achievements showing in open shows locally, regionally or nationally. Sponsored by LLM Ranch - NOHSA will present National Year-End Awards to the top horse and exhibitor combinations earning the most points, as submitted by the NOHSA member. For complete rules regarding Year-End Awards, view the 2023 NOHSA Rulebook.

Exhibitors Report

Points will only be recorded when NOHSA receives a properly completed online Exhibitor Results Report. Exhibitor name and horse name should match the names listed on the exhibitor's membership identification card. Submissions with incomplete or inaccurate information will be declined. All submissions are subject to verification and members may be required to provide additional information. Results can be submitted from any Open or 4-H show not governed by a nationwide association. Non-sanctioned classes at a show that is sanctioned by a national equine association are eligible as well.

Earning Points

Points are earned by each horse and exhibitor combination. All horses must have a current Competition Registration and each exhibitor must have a current Membership with NOHSA to earn points. Points are awarded based on the total number of horses shown in the class. For example, if 15 horses are exhibited in a class and two are disqualified, points would be based on 15 entries. Up to six placings per class will be awarded points by NOHSA. Class points will be awarded as shown in the table below.
